1 Introduction
The WebClient software is the application run using the internet browser. A desktop, instalable version, i.e. ComboClient3, is also available. Both programs present similar functionality.
The WebClient/ComboClient software is used to locate and obtain information about vehicles belonging to the company. It allows determining actual position and monitoring the route of the selected vehicle. To do that, the system uses connection with the server storing and gathering data from all vehicles through the devices installed inside. Therefore a constant connection to the Internet is required.
The WebClient/ComboClient software presents the functionality briefly summarized in Table 1. Detailed information about the particular modules is presented in the subsequent sections of the following manual.
The WebClient/ComboClient software is delivered in two versions. The difference between them lies in the added maps. The first version contains a detailed map of Poland and travel map of Europe. The second version contains the detailed map of Europe. Both maps are delivered by TeleAtlas company.
